About The Author
The introductory scripture of this book is one of my
favorite scriptures. Each time I read it, I am reminded of how much I love my
time with Jesus. It renews a spirit of determination within me. I love to soak
in God's presence. I love to hear of His love for me. I love to read His affirming
words and study scripture in the bible that centers on hope and encouragement.
And I also love to know of His majesty, glory, and goodness.Book Overview
We called it, "Wednesday Worship" - we, the ATTENDEES, of both the past and present. Every Wednesday we would meet - for about three hours. Our hearts were eager, full of anticipation for what was about to come. There was excitement in the air. At times, I arrived with my own heart beating hard. For during that time He was coming to us, Jesus, Our Savior, Our Lord.
We loved it! We -all- loved it! Week after week, a group of us came back together. Often, it was the highlight of our week. Wednesday Worship was a main focus for us; a reprieve; a get-away. When Jesus came, Hope came; Love came; Truth came; Healing came; Peace came; Our Future came.
We came to Wednesday Worship to abandon self and all accompanying problems. We laid down the cares of this world, for a while. Wednesday Worship was different than church. We weren't going there to sit through an organized church service, complete with preaching. There was a purpose here, an endeavor. Here at Wednesday Worship, we journeyed through a tabernacle. We journeyed to the throne room of God.
The psalmist said,
"But my eyes are fixed on you..." Psalm 141:8
